Car service is something every car owner should undertake and never ignore. When it comes to engine maintenance, changing your engine oil is one of the common tasks involved in your vehicle maintenance. Filling fresh oil is good for your engine, and too much of it can create damage and should be removed as soon as possible. But, how much oil is too much? To understand how this works, you must check with mechanics Ringwood and understand how your engine processes. In today’s blog post, let’s see how overfilling an engine cause trouble. Let’s get started.
The engine is made of several components that work together at high temperature. It needs oil for proper lubrication and smooth movement. However, when too much oil is added, the oil reaches the oil pan becomes high, and it comes in contact with the rod called crankshaft, which turns the oil into a frothy substance causing wear and tear. This extra oil creates excessive pressure inside that will lead to leaks and costly repairs.
Blue Exhaust Smoke
Another indicator is the blue exhaust smoke that comes out of the engine. It happens when there is an oil leak where the engine fails to control the leak.
If there is excess oil in the engine, the engine may start to run rough, or the engine light illuminates, contacting the spark plugs causing the misfire. It’s why you should made regular car service in ringwood to ensure that your engine oil is at the right level.
Check Vehicle’s Manual
If you want to know the exact level of the oil, ensure to check the lubrication section in your vehicle’s owner manual. The amount of oil level required will be listed next to the type of oil your engine needs.
Car service is essential to ensure that your car is functioning properly and smoothly and it is the responsibility of every car driver. However, over time, you need to get your car checked if it starts making weird noises whenever you try to stop. If you’re unaware of the squeaky sound, it can be a sign that you need to check your brakes. Squeaking brakes are a headache and an alert for you to get it resolved. Here are a few types of common brake noises and how to fix them. You can fix this problem with our car service ringwood professionals.
Vibration Of Brake Pads
If your brakes are new and still producing the squeaking sound, you must know that it needs greasing between the contact points. This requires removal of the brake pads from the calipers and then apply some grease in the contact points. The greasing should also be made on the backside of the brake pad and any contact points on the caliper carrier. Also, remember that the surface and brake pad friction surface has to be grease – free. In this case, you can do brake repairs ringwood with our professionals.
Worn Out Brake Pads
Generally, the noise lies within the worn-out brake pads and it should be replaced. Brake clips can be the cause of the noise and this happens when they are not installed properly, causing them to be loose. This will occur when the brake clips or shims were not properly installed from a previous mechanic. In this case, you can get it reinstalled with the help of a professional car mechanic ringwood or a brake specialist, and apply the essential lubricants to control the noise.
Improper Installation of Brake Shims and Clips
Brake shims and clips are used to prevent the ratting noise, vibrations, and sudden judders whenever brakes are used. Sometimes, improper installation may also lead to squeaky sounds.
It would not be enough how much I write about Peter/PMA autowork here, but I would try to give a complete honest review. Few days back I got an Audi Q7 V8 4.2l from one of the private seller, and you tell me its my error in judgement or bad luck, I got into major problems like engine shuddering and multiple fault codes from day 1. I banged different doors including Audi and got lot of heartache with unimaginable quotes and time to repair. Then out of nowhere I saw PMA autoworks popped up in nearby mechanic ads. Right from that time Peter took control of the situation and laid out a plan to approach this major issue, he was very very communicative at every step and diagnosed the issue (which was exactly as Audi found) and suggested to replace timing chains ( please note in Audi Q7 replacing timing chain is a complicated task as it sits behind the engine, so that means, engine along with other components need to come out), also he showed me few other components were faulty and recommended to replace. He provided me a genuine quote and along with provided me lot of assurance and confidence of handling this major issue. He delivered the car within two weeks along as he commited in beginning with one year manufacture warranty and lifetime warranty of workmanship. and voila two weeks gone my car is running as smooth as ever before and even after delivering the car Peter from his side followed up couple of times to understand my experience.
This in my experience should be called as text book definition of customer satisfaction which Peter and his team have showed in every point without charging mindless money. Thanks a lot Peter and team!!

PMA has been the one-stop shop destination for all of my auto mechanical needs over the past two years. From installing a new sensor system to fixing an engine starter or periodic maintenance services, Peter and his team have delivered consistently excellent services at competitive prices. I appreciate Peter’s flexibility and efforts to accommodate customers’ requests. For an example, a month back, one of my cars failed to start. Needless to say, this got me very frustrated as I was about to drive to work in the morning. I called Peter and he did come to my garage after working hours to diagnose the problem. In the following morning, he came back to get it fixed by replacing the starter. I was very pleased with PMA’s agile, timely yet professional services. In addition, Peter always provides me with great consultation as to when things need to be done and what kinds of spare part/materials I should go with. This assisted me to work out a solution that suits my budget the most. In summary, I would highly recommend PMA auto for its great technical excellence and customer services and compettitive pricing.
Peter is very honest, I did a bit of price research before I went of the head unit upgrade and his price is by far the best and the reviews on him is great. I was recommended by a friend and this company didn’t disappoint! The new touch screen console is fabulous. And soooo reasonable priced. Will be going back there to do window tinting.
Had my Audi A4 2.0L turbo engine fully rebuilt for a bargain and can feel the difference in the drive, also better fuel consumption has improved a lot as well. For a massive job it was done thoroughly but speedy. Would definitely recommend any services done through PMA. Fantastic work all round, thank you team!
