Battery system inspection
We assess the health and condition of your high-voltage battery pack, including state of charge, capacity, and thermal management. Battery degradation is one of the most common concerns for EV owners, and catching issues early makes a genuine difference.
Brake system service
Electric vehicles use regenerative braking, which reduces wear on the traditional friction brakes. Because the pads and rotors are used less, they can actually seize or corrode over time. We inspect the full braking system and service it accordingly.
Tyres, wheels, and alignment
EVs are heavier than equivalent petrol cars due to the battery pack, which means tyres wear differently and alignment is especially important. We carry out wheel alignments, rotations, and replacements suited to electric vehicles.
Cabin air filter
Often overlooked but replaced on a regular schedule. A clean cabin filter is particularly important in EVs, which rely heavily on the HVAC system for both passenger comfort and battery thermal management.
Coolant and thermal management system
Many EVs use liquid cooling for the battery and motor. We check coolant levels, condition, and the integrity of the thermal management system.
12V auxiliary battery
Every EV carries a small 12V battery alongside the main traction battery. This battery powers the lights, electronics, and accessories, and it needs to be tested and replaced when required — just like in a conventional car.
Suspension and steering
The weight of an EV places more load on suspension components. We inspect and service all suspension and steering components to make sure the car handles safely and correctly.
Software diagnostics
We use professional diagnostic tools to read fault codes, check system health, and identify any issues before they become serious problems.
Roadworthy Certificates for Electric Vehicles
If you’re selling your EV or need to re-register it, we can issue a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) in Victoria. The inspection process for an electric vehicle follows the same framework as any other car, but requires an understanding of EV-specific systems. Our team is equipped to carry this out properly.
